Hi
Folks! The Iron Gardener is now offering all new and all steel/cast
iron Garden ArtWork Sculptures. |
Gardening
is one of our favorite past times around the plantation. We also love
to feed the birds. I could never find a strong and visually interesting
device to grow climbing plants on or hang our bird feeders from. So
I made my own and now everyone is asking me to build one for them!
 |
The inspiration
for my designs come from Victorian iron fence. The Greater Cincinnati,
Ohio area was and |
is home to a number of ornamental
iron works including Stewart and H. Buecker
Iron Works. I'm currently restoring gates made by both of these
companies. Stewart Iron Works still produces quality iron fence products
that closely resembles the design of their early product.
I've
combined skills learned restoring iron fence with ideas for creating
functional garden art to create my new sculptures. My sculpture will
help your create new and interesting focal points in your landscaping
schemes!
 |
I’m
currently developing other decorative vine Posts and prototype garden
hose hangers, outdoor candle holders |
and
variations of my ArtWork Bird Feeder Hangers for applications such as
deck mounting
My
ArtWork Garden Sculpture is hand-made in the good old USA! Each sculpture
is uniquely different in how I combine iron components together.
If you see a “sold” example you like in these pages,
please email me and I'll make you a similar one.
Orders
submitted in the winter months may wait for a good day of weather as
I'm limited to welding outdoors. But, just like my Pet Portraits, you
won't be billed until the piece is finished! |

Sturdy steel
and cast iron parts are welded together to create ArtWork Sculpture.
Major components thread together. All creations are hand
brushed with quality priming paint to insure a good seal against
the elements and then the piece is spray painted flat
black.
Sculpture can be easily repainted with with any color brush or
spray (outdoor) enamel paint.
Easy shipping, assembly and installation. It
arrives in two boxes; the decorative top piece simply screws
onto the shaft. To install your Garden Staff simply press
the shaft part into the soil or, for a more rigid and permanent
installation you may choose to dig a hole with a post hole digger
and place the shaft into concrete. Shafts are made to sink about
18 inches into the ground. This leaves
about 57 inches of the sculpture above ground plenty of room
for growing plants!
