Three Cats and Three Dogs Are In Heaven Where They Belong
© Mark Betcher
I got a pack of dogs. There are three of them
Two lap dogs and one black Doberman
Two are alive. The Dobe is dead
She was a sweet looking dog. Spiked collar around her head
Cats are easy just give them tuna from a can
Surgar is white, one is black. The other, siamese tan
The one we like, I call him One-Eye
His bad one eye is colored blue like the sky
HEAVEN
If you see my little angels. Sing’em this song
HEAVEN. My little angels are where they belong
The one black cat with the one blue eye
Crys at night and I don’t know why
And the other dog leaves me gifts in the dark
He hasn’t learned yet to stand at the door and bark
The dogs make me smile, everyday
Sit, down and stay, Look at me and obey
And then they go crazy when you open the door
They drop their squeaky toys and run outside and explore
HEAVEN
If you see my little angels. Sing’em this song
HEAVEN. My little angels are where they belong
Three cats and three dogs are like childern to me
I’m siting on the back porch bouncing one on my knee
They can’t do math or turn off the lights
But they can keep you warm on a bitter cold winter night
So I say them all a little prayer
I remember the time they chewed my antique chair
And the day they dug up my fresh flower bed
And I will remember them when they are long gone and dead
HEAVEN
When you see my little angels. Sing’em this song
HEAVEN. My little angels are where they belong
HEAVEN. My little angels
