This is the first piece I constructed... so I started this thing in 1988. I didn't finish it completely until about a year ago... no matter what date says on the back... I worked on the thing so often I lost track. The painting came to be a memorial for our Doberman, Gracie who died of bone cancer about 3 years ago at the age of 9. So that's why I named the painting Gracie... rather than any former generic names. So not only does this painting means a lot to me because it is the first and now all about our Gracie... but I think is just a great piece of art.
